Correlation Analysis of The Risk Factors for Pathological Fracture Using Mirels’ Classification in Long Bone Metastatic Disease

Background: Pathological fracture is one of the consequences from MBD, which can worsen prognosis and deplete quality patients lives. Looking at those effects, predicting pathological in MBD needs to be done. Objective: Determine correlation risk factors for fractures long bone metastatic disease determine accuracy Mirels scoring system. Method: This was a retrospective research based on medical record data x-ray photos with metastases Dr. Soetomo General Academic Hospital 2019-2021. We determined by using likelihood-ratio test. Result: Of total 39 cases, there were 28 cases (71.79%) followed fracture, 11 them (28.21%) not. From calculation score, 36 had scores ≥ 9 (impending), 3 8 (borderline). Most located lower extremities (48.7%), sized >2/3 cortex lytic type (79.5%), functional pain (82.1%). %). Conclusion: There between location upper extremity lesions > 2/3 cortex, type, incidence (p < 0,05) percentage system 66.67%.
